Day 23: Time of Your Life (2 of 10)

I think this session was valuable, but it could have been done a few minutes. Probably didn't need the whole 90 minutes. The first message was, stop spending your time on things that are not important. Sometimes, you trick yourself thinking it is important when it's not because you're in reaction to the urgency. Don't get seduced by urgency. If you want to live without stress, be proactive. Do things that are important but not urgent. This way, when important and urgent things come up, you have the time and energy to devote to the emergency.

The second message is spending time on things you cannot control. For example, dwelling on the past, or things/people you can't influence. Don't do it because it is a pure waste of your time and energy. A good use of your time is spending time on things you can and want to influence, and things you have control over. The most efficient use of your time is spending time in things you control because it is something you can decide to do and just do it.

The overall message is, if you want more time, you can have it by not wasting time on things that don't matter or that you cannot control. Now did that take 90 minutes to explain? No, maybe...although there will be some listeners that Anthony Robbins has a lot of influence over, and there are some that he has little influence over. And to influence the most amount of possible, he has to take the time.
